A Nonprofit Organization
Fostering Catholic Friendships Since 1958
Leaving a Positive Mark on the Lives of Young Adult Catholics
Fleur de Lis focuses on encouraging Catholic friendships through dances for young adults in St. Louis, Missouri. Our organization was established in 1958 by Monsignor Harnett and a group of Catholic women.
Mission Statement
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we are committed to fostering young adult Catholic friendships in St. Louis.
High School Programs
Fleur de Lis offers the following programs:
Dance Class
High school freshmen gather throughout the school year to learn proper etiquette and dance steps from an instructor. We provide light snacks during Dance Class.
Supper Dance
The Supper Dance is a black-tie dinner for high school students in their sophomore to senior years. This is a night of socializing and dancing. It is held at various locations throughout St. Louis.
The Debutante Ball
Our Debutante Ball is the culminating event each year and the major fundraiser for our organization. We have been holding this white-tie occasion around Christmas since January 1960.
The Ball features a formal presentation of around 30 young Catholic women to the Archbishop of St. Louis. This tradition recognizes the young women entering into society in front of their family and friends.
This formal Ball is reminiscent of a European custom. Each year a donation is made to SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Since 1958, we have donated more than three million dollars.
